Setting the squad takes an evening

Collecting “who can play”, rewriting the squad, reminding about the match and making sure everyone knows whether they're called up — that's usually several channels and a lot of manual work before every match.

One process from availability to call-ups

In TrainTeam call-ups grow out of availability. You see who confirmed, mark the squad and send call-ups to selected people — without re-entering information and without guessing who knows.

  • Player availability in one view.
  • Position filters and a quick check of squad coverage.
  • The squad picked based on confirmations.
  • Call-ups sent to specific people.
  • The player or their parents receive the call-up, depending on team contact settings.

FAQ

Questions about call-ups

Do call-ups go only to selected people?

Yes. When a squad is published, notifications concern only selected players. They go to the player or their linked parents, depending on team contact settings and active accounts.

Is the squad based on availability?

Yes. You select the squad from players with confirmed availability. An authorised coach can record a response manually for a player without an active account.

Can I check position coverage?

Yes. Search by player or position, filter position groups and check goalkeeper, defence, midfield and attack coverage while selecting the squad.

Will a parent see the child is called up?

Yes. Parents linked to a player can see their child’s call-up. When the squad is published, notifications follow the team’s contact settings and active accounts. If the preferred contact has no active account, TrainTeam uses an available linked account. Adding a player to an already published squad is a separate action that directs a notification to the player and their linked parents.

Can I go back to earlier squads?

Yes. The call-up history stays with the events, so it's easy to check earlier decisions.
