How do I import a squad from Excel?

If you keep the player list in a spreadsheet, you do not have to retype it. The import reads a CSV or XLSX file, recognises the columns on its own and shows a preview before anything lands in the team.

Step by step

Prepare a file with one header row and one player in each following row.

Name the columns plainly, e.g. first name, last name, date of birth, parent email, medical valid until.

In the team panel choose the squad import and point to the CSV or XLSX file.

Check the preview — the app shows which columns it recognised and which rows have errors.

Fix the broken rows or deselect them to load the rest of the list.

Confirm the import — the players land in the team together with the data you provided.

If the file contained parent emails, send the invitations to the app.

Extra notes

  • The import works on one team at a time — with several age groups repeat it per team.
  • Rows rejected during the import can be downloaded as a file, fixed and loaded again.
  • Providing a parent email creates the parent-player link right away.
  • Dates are accepted in the YYYY-MM-DD and DD.MM.YYYY formats.

Common problems

The app did not recognise the columns

Check that the first row of the file holds column names rather than the first player's data.

Some rows were rejected

Every rejected row shows the reason, most often a missing name or an invalid email. Fix them and load the file again.

A player appeared twice

Delete the duplicate from the people list. Before the next import check whether the person is already in the team.
