Instead of a chat group
A chat group is fast, but important things get lost in it. TrainTeam leaves conversation where it's needed and keeps dates, availability and call-ups in the team structure.

Players mark attendance in the event and you see the result right away.
Send the squad to selected people, without scrolling the thread.

Dates and changes in one place, not in a conversation.
The signal reaches the people a thing concerns.
Earlier events and decisions stay tidy.
Match availability, a time change, parents' questions and loose chat all land in one thread. After a few days nobody knows who confirmed attendance, and the key information is somewhere “higher up”.
TrainTeam doesn't fight the chat — it fixes what the chat does badly. You collect availability in the event, send call-ups to selected people, and keep dates in the team calendar.
A group chat can remain a place for informal conversation. Difficulties arise when match responses, a changed meeting time and the selected squad are messages that must be found among other discussions.
In TrainTeam, time and venue belong to the event, a response to a player at that event, and call-ups to a coach's selection. Announcements and discussions also have context. Families can check current details without reconstructing a conversation.
Check active family contacts and explain where responses now belong. If some people continue replying only in the old chat, the coach maintains two lists. Staff need an agreed contact process for people without app access.
Test the change at the next match: a family sees the date, responds and later checks the call-up decision. Notifications depend on team contact settings and active accounts. Sending an invitation does not prove everyone is already using the app.
Starting TrainTeam does not import WhatsApp history. Carry forward necessary arrangements as current events, information or documents. You do not need to copy the entire conversation to run the next session.
The club decides whether the old group stays. If it does, explain that current dates, responses and call-ups are checked in the app. See the guide to reducing organisational chat on WhatsApp.

FAQ
No. TrainTeam has its own chat for conversations with parents and players. Availability, call-ups, dates and official announcements have separate places, so you do not have to piece them together from messages.
Players or their parents mark availability in the event. The coach sees the responses together rather than counting messages with “+1”.
Parents receive an invitation and respond in the event for their child. They can use TrainTeam in a browser or add it to their phone’s home screen.
Yes. You publish call-ups for selected players. When the squad is published, notifications go to the player or their linked parents, depending on team contact settings and active accounts.
