The parent's contact on a phone, the team assignment in the coach's head, the attendance history in a notebook. When data is scattered, updating one thing doesn't keep up with the rest.
One player card
In TrainTeam every player has a card with a main position, an optional specific position and extra positions. If the list does not fit, a coach can enter a custom name. The card connects to attendance and call-ups.

Move your player list into the app
Start with the current squad of one team. Before importing, check names, contacts and players already in the club. Two similar spreadsheet rows may describe the same player; do not assume they are different people.
Add players manually or use the CSV/XLSX squad import. Import brings in player records. It does not transfer past conversations, results or attendance history from other files.
- Choose the team and check players already on its list.
- Prepare current player details and check contact information.
- Add the squad, review the import and investigate any duplicates.
- Complete positions and parent links before sending invitations.
A parent's contact and access to a child are separate steps
A phone number or email in a spreadsheet does not give a family access to the app. First link the parent to the player, then send an invitation. Check that the contact belongs to the intended person.
When a parent has two children at the club, link them to both player records. A player can also have more than one guardian. Those links identify the child's information the family can access; the team's contact settings also determine who receives messages and confirms participation.
One player, two teams
A player may train with their own age group and play with an older team. Assign the same person to the relevant teams rather than creating another player record for the second squad. This avoids duplicating personal details and family links.
When reviewing attendance, check specific events and whether records are complete. A pre-match response is neither proof of attendance nor a call-up decision. Explore the attendance register used after an event.

Can a player be in several teams?
Yes. The same player can belong to several teams within one club.
Is the parent's data linked to the player?
Yes. Parent contact details are linked to the player’s profile. Parents can view information about their own children.
Who can see a player’s profile?
Access depends on roles, permissions and the link to the player. Coaches see players in their assigned teams, parents see information about their children, and administrators manage club data.
Will I see the player's attendance?
Yes. The attendance history is linked to the player card.
What if the right position is not listed?
Choose Other / Custom and enter the term your staff uses. You can also add up to four additional positions.
